Rebuild? How? Cant I just use the 10.0 rpm?

Ok I got the ao thing taken care of. Do I really need the silc thing? Is it vital for gaim to work? Also I found this alot in the config file: configure: failed program was: | /* confdefs.h. */ Normal?

Ok I installed everything it said it didnt have except silc.pc because urpmf couldnt find it. Of course I did it as root. I do know that much. ;) lol. I think I did see some errors. I'll run it again and post up what errors I get.

Ok I did that and then I did the make and make install commands after the configure command and now gaim wont start. Man this is fun. lol.

Start again at the configure command?

Ok it completed the configure and then I did the make and make install command. Now I start up gaim and it still says its 0.82.1. Did I do something wrong? (well i guess i did but still its messed up)

Ok now how do I figure out what to type in for urpmi to grab? I ask cuz I dont want to keep coming back here and bothering someone to tell me what it is.

Would it be worth it to add the updates or is what you said enough?

Oh ok. I'll just ask this again: I havent done anything to urpmi just yet so thats why I ask.

Ok it just gave me this message when installing that rpm: Some package requested cannot be installed: libglib2.0_0-devel-2.4.6-1mdk.i586 (due to unsatisfied glib-gettextize[>= 2.4.6]) do you agree ?

Wouldnt I still have to go through this if I was tryin to install a program that wasnt available in rpm form? Oh and thanks for the link bvc.
