i just installed mandrake 10 official and got an ugly text only grub. when i installed mandrake 10 community i got a neat graphical lilo. anybody know why? seems stupid to me

I recently installed Mandrake 10 Community and the MPlayer that comes with it. Everytime i try to play a DVD I get misc errors. Does anyone else get this? What can be done?

when i load a mp3 xmms freezes. what could be the problem? mp3 works in mplayer

during installation of 10.0 coummunity i was asked for cd4 which i didn't have so i chose cancel. what is cd4 and why does it ask for it when it can't be downloaded? my xmms doesn't work properly. can this have something to do with that?
