DBD:: Pg

/usr/local/bin/perl -MCPAN -e 'install DBD:: Pg'

When trying to install DBD:: Pg, it asks for path to pg_config?

Where is that?

DBD::mysql

When trying to install DBD::mysql, I use a specific installation of perl (non-threaded that I plugged in myself):

/usr/local/bin/perl -MCPAN -e 'install DBD::mysql'

but then I get the following error (primarily):

Can't exec "mysql_config": No such file or directory at Makefile.PL line 174.

I looked all around for mysql_config, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Where is mysql_config?

Does anyone know how to get DBD:: Pg and DBD::mysql to install under Mandrake 9.2 ?

The default MD 9.2 install of perl is threaded.

Does anyone know how to re-work the default install so that perl is non-threaded?

I've recompiled perl a few times, but then MD Control Center doesn't work and a bunch of other things, too.

Would be great to somehow tweak the MD install of perl instead of having to re-invent the wheel.
