  1. if it's a problem with codecs install gstreamer0.10-aalib, gstreamer0.10-caca, gstreamer0.10-dv, gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg, gstreamer0.10-mpeg. that's all the codecs that i use to watch dvds and Xvids.

     

    And see the info that theYinYeti has pointed.

  2. Hey folks it's me again....

     

     

    So while trying to resolve my input/output error in the other thread here is my newest headache...

     

    I've installed Lm_sensors3-3.0.1 but i would like to know how to call it with kde without access in the terminal.... Ksensord works with lm_sensors 2.10.X. .

  3. John this thread has two problem but in only one thread... first problem is about dvd softwares, the second problem is about this input/output error that i got while using k3b or mplayer or totem ot whatever...

     

    I can't make it clearer than that

  4. i've just found an error while watching a dvd... on the tty1

    end-request. I/O error, dev sr0, section xxxxxxxxxx

    which confirm my previous input/output error from K3B.... do you know what i can do in order to resolve that?

  6. Hello everybody!

     

    Ok, here is my problem:

     

    I would like to know which GPL software is the best to read DVD movies/films... I'm used to download *.avi and *.MKV to watch movies on my pc but i never played a dvd movie *.vob on my linux OS...

    Currently i'm using Mandriva 2008.1 "spring" free edition.

     

    Also i'm having troubles to write files in a dvd with K3B and it fails the burnings with this message error :wall: :
