  1. If you don't want to reinstall, then just wait using CLI till it gets fixed...

Normally it shouldn't take more than half a week to have sort-of-working xorg packages in Cooker.

Downgrading is easier said than done.

Half a week..??..mmh if that's so ..... maybe I'll just wait until a working version of xorg packages comes out..

I just hope that wont take long.......

:wall: damm it !!... I have everything on my linux desktop (mail, projects... etc)...

I just don't want to go back to windows.... in the meantime... I'd be working on the office

  2. Ok... I also fell for it.. I just update everything with SMART.. (as I usually do) without knowing that xorg7 was there.... and puff... xorg 7 and my linux just died....

So.. what Can I do ?? Is there any way to downgrade xorg without a clean reinstall???

Please Help... I just don't want to lose the others updates that actually worked (KDE)..

    HELP...!!!

  3. Since a few days I can't get Kopete connect to my msn account...

It keeps showing a message saying that the password was wrong and an option to change it... but this seems to be in a infinite loop..

What happened ??.. it was working flawlessly before....

HELP.. I really like this app...

  4. got some problems with the "update-menu -v"

at the end... this comes out:

    ** (process:8250): CRITICAL **: file eggdesktopentries.c: line 2223 (egg_desktop_entries_add_group): assertion `egg_desktop_entries_lookup_group (entries, group_name) == NULL' failed

    update-menus[8215]: Running method: /etc/menu-methods/simplified/simplified-xdg-desktop-entry-spec-dirs

    thanks

  5. I have all just fine with the latest rpms, can restart and shutdown from Kmenu.

Ok... but I did install kde 3.4 on mandrake 10.1..... did somebody find how to fix it for mandrake 10.1??... And I have some other issue.. not sure if it's related (must be) but.. since I did the upgrade my cd doesn't seems to auto mount anymore, the cd icon doesn't appear anymore (yes... it is selected to appear) , I have to mount it explicitly by console (mount /mnt/cdrom)....

    what's wrong???

    here's my fstab cdrom entry:

    /dev/hdd /mnt/cdrom auto umask=0,user,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,noauto,ro,users 0 0

Maybe something got erased on the upgrade...

    please help!!!

  6. I have another problem installing kde3.4..

when I go "urpmi kdebase" (as root).. it seems it doesn't do anything....

after I did that on console.. I left my computer for a LONG time... and when I came back... was doing NOTHING...it was at the same point that when I left it... no sing of progress at all.. anything...

so.. is this normal?? or I just have a crappy install of mandrake 10.1 official..??

Is it possible update kde using MCC??

  7. I have a lowband internet connection at home...

so I could REALLY use a list of (basic) dependencies from PLF, contrib and main repositories so I can download them here and then Install kde3.4 at home..

Can anyone provide such a list??

    I would really appreciate that....

    Thanx
