Is there a final release of MOHAA yet? I have now bough the game (along with spearhead and breakthrough) and was trying to figure out how to get them to work. I have (I think) the non US version so the ravage installer won;t work for me...
mohaa isn't final yet, spearhead will be out after mohaa is final. EA never gave icculus the breakthrough source so that is not likely to be released for linux.

There are 2 different installers (both 432 and 436 versions) for UT.
That's not actually correct. There are 2 installers for Unreal Tournament.
The first is for the standard edition of Unreal Tournament which is version 400
The second is for the Game of The Year edition which is version 432.
-
The game itself doesn't use a cdkey, but is required when installing in Windows.
What patches/updates are you talking about?
-
teamspeak would be your best bet

I have been have much problems with Glibc-3.3.2 TLS, it just refuses to update any of the patches. Have you heard of anyone else having this problem ? with UT2003.
I have heard a few things about TLS but I haven't got a solution. I thought the cdrom > 2225 patch fixed the TLS thing but it looks like it's broken again

ucc-bin decompresses the uz2 files from the cd
-
if you're using gentoo, then why don't you emerge quake3 ?
-
the cd will have a file, probably named "linux-installer.sh" on the 3rd cd (well, it was on the 3rd cd for ut2k3) which you will have to copy to your hard drive and then run the same way as you will w/this file.
the linux installer will be on the 1st disc
and you don't need to copy the ut2003 installer off the 3rd disc to install

do chmod +x armyops200-lnx.run

quick question: does plf have the pak0pak files or do I have to remember where i put that disc......... what about ground zero and the reconning? are they also available?
no, plf does not have quake2 linux warez for you to download

cool.
ps. your doom legacy installer is a dud.

I have tried using it with the US version, and the game will not display any servers to connect to.
it works fine with the US version. nab the IpDrv fix from http://icculus.org/betas/devastation/ and you will find servers again, that is if there are any v380 servers around...

man this guy and his installers rock, I'm going to give him all of my money.

that OpenGL renderer performs better in windows for me than in linux...even better than Direct3D

Even if there was the slightest chance that Lucas Arts considered porting the client, I don't want them taking the same route as Transgaming. By mentioning The Sims, someone at Lucas Arts would look at what Transgaming did and do the same for Jedi Academy. I want a native version of Jedi Academy, not an emulated one.
-
Actually it WAS ported.
anything that runs in wine is not a port
-
The SIMS took approximately eight weeks to port
The Sims hasn't been ported to linux.
-
I'm thinking of picking up UT2K3.
UT2004 isn't that far off, just keep 6GB or more free so you can play it
-
Creating a self-extracting archive is not all that hard.
yes, it's really easy when you use makeself
