Mandrakesoft has two main sites: linux-mandrake.com and mandrakesoft.com. Currently both
are providing roughly the same content, with mandrakesoft.com usually being
more up to date.
The Mandrake
Forum is a 'site for Linux-Mandrake related tips, tricks, rumors, pre-announcements,
semi-official news, and more', run by M's virtual community manager Denis
Havlik. We often have some interesting discussions over there, so if you're
into that sort of thing, you should definitely check it out.
Linux-Mandrake provides online and print versions
of the 'Reference Manual' and the 'User Guide' for the current release
in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
These are the same documents which make up the 'mandrake-doc' RPM on your
CD and can be accessed from the 'documentation' link in your desktop menu.
The Demo and Tutorial Center
offers animated demonstrations of the capabilities of Linux-Mandrake and
its tools, and how do you get something done with them.
Some member sites of the MandrakeUserNet
ring host tutorials, too.

You can get your important (read: mostly security related)
updates via the 'MandrakeUpdate' utility. It will check what software is
installed on your system and tell you for which there are new versions available
and why.
For more thorough information, go to LMs Advisory Page.
If you have trouble installing ML, make sure to check
out the Last minute fixes pages for Release 7.0, Release 7.1,
Release
7.2, and Release
8.0.
If you think you've found a software error ('bug'),
visit Mandrake's
Bug Tracker (aka 'Bugzilla'), either to find out if there's already a
fix for your problem available or to report a new problem. Please read the
guidelines before submitting a new entry, this way chances are much better
your problem will be dealt with swiftly.

Apart from the 'community
support' mailing lists, there are also lists for people interested in
security and development.
The developer mailing lists cover different aspects
of Mandrake's open development distribution, Cooker: 'cooker'
(general discussion), 'cooker-ppc' (PPC port), 'cooker-i18n' (internationalization
and localization), 'cooker-Firewall' and 'changelog' (list of package changes).
Every list's language is English.
Online archives are available for 'cooker'
and'cooker-ppc'.
Focused on security are the lists 'security-announce'
and 'security-discuss'.
To subscribe to one or more of these lists, you can
either use the web
form or send a mail to 'sympa@linux-mandrake.com' with the command subscribe
[list name] in the body of the message.

Sometimes it might be necessary to contact someone at
M directly. In this case, please refer to Mandrake's Contact Page.
Please make sure you are addressing the right person with your problem / question
/ suggestion / whatever, otherwise a lot of time might get wasted in forwarding
these mails internally ...

You can keep your Mandrake Linux distribution up to
date by using the 'MandrakeUpdate' program installed on your box. Notice
however, that these updates only cover security issues, severe software errors
or major updates.
Mandrake software is available from a number of FTP servers
worldwide or the
RPM repository at rpmfind.net.

Some Mandrake users provide websites which contain useful
tips, tricks and software for Mandrake.
Some Mandrake developers maintain pages on people.mandrakesoft.com.
There's no index, you will have to know their mail account names on Mandrakesoft.
For example: Guillaume Cottenceau has the mail address 'gc at mandrakesoft.com'.
So you will find his Mandrakesoft web page on people.mandrakesoft.com/~gc/.
Others run fully fletched websites, like Vincent Danen does on Freezer Burn.
You will find lots of other interesting sites in the
MandrakeUserNet
web ring.
