Glitz Posted December 6, 2003 Share Posted December 6, 2003 It seems to me like you are having major hardware problems on that machine. That could be why win98 doesn't boot up anymore. Darkelve Posted January 7, 2004 Author Share Posted January 7, 2004 Follow-up: My brother got the laptop in for repair. They said the RAM (64MB) was toast... so they're going to replace it. I suggested getting more, but it's an old 'model', apparently you can't put in more. Seems the HD is fine ater all... However, I did learn something trying to rescue the data.
