Guest Fadil Shamir Khan
I recently installed Windows XP, then installed Auditor, then came BackTrack and finally uBuntu. Now. I was able to get back into Windows XP, by editing my boot.ini and making some changes in a file, aka removing £ from it and i got into XP when i rebooted... Now, i am not seeing the Partitions from XP, because of the Partition Type and because it does not have any Drive Letter... Now, if i want to get all partitions able to boot to the respective OS/Distro, how do i do that? PS: THANKS FOR EVERYTHING IN ADVANCED! scarecrow
The windows boot.ini is the hard way to dualboot. The easy one is installing grub at the mbr. Windows do not assign a letter to non-windows FS partitions, but nevertheless you can see all of them (and eventually manage) via the windows Disk Manager. Guest Fadil Shamir Khan
Thanks for the response. How do i install grub at the MBR? I tried booting BT on the Live CD and playing with some LILO configuration and found a video on youtube, but the guy who made it put music instead of Voice Instructions, so i was kinda hard to pick up with it.... Thanks for your help and waiting for your response!
