Michel
Did you guys know this? I was just reading a changelog or soemthing about 2.6: SELinux. ~~~~~~~~ NSA Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux) got merged in 2.6. It is disabled by default and can be enabled with a boot time parameter selinux=1. You can obtain SELinux tools and an example policy configuration from http://www.nsa.gov/selinux
Steve Scrimpshire
Very interesting, in theory, but being the paranoid type, I would be afraid to activate anything put on my computer by the NSA. ;)

bvc
I would be afraid to activate anything put on my computer by the NSA. ...that's funny...like they couldn't get in, and/or can't see and hear anything/everything you do if they wanted to. They make the source code (to a point) available. I've been thinking lately about trying it out. I hear it's tough.
Sarissi
It would be just like the NSA to sneak in a couple of extremely clever backdoors, and call it Security Enhanced Linux. Theirs and the US Government Security Enhancement! NSA is after all in the business of Signals Intelligence, and they don't care if it violates the law (domestic). They've had backdoors in Wondoze for Years.
jlc
ya'll should really read up on it, it's actually quite cool, and as bvc mentioned, if they want in, they don't need to make a back door in a kernel. :P http://www.nsa.gov/selinux/index.html
