Guest CiX
Hello, I'm using a Kyocera FS-1750 laser printer, which is connected to my PC via LPT port. The printer worked fine with XP and Ubuntu. My second printer, a HP (USB), works without problems. I tried to find the Kyocera with system-config-printer and also downloaded Kyocera_FS-1750_de.ppd from the producer's site. I copied it to /usr/share/cups/models , but it still doesn't work. Anybody got an idea how to fix this? Best Greetings, Sebastian
Greg2
Which version of Mandriva are you using? If you're using 2009.1, it sounds like bug# 50139... please read this post for a fix: lost-connection-to-lpt-1-and-printer Welcome aboard! :)
