neddie
I'd like to make a demo film to show how to use a program, so I'm looking at wink to make a recording. I tried recording in Vlc but I seem to only be able to record the whole screen there and only in a lossy format, so it looks blurry for what I'm trying to do. I like the way wink apparently makes it lossless so it's small and neat and crisp, ideal for what I want to do. Except I can't get it to install. When I run the "installer.sh" it complains about a missing "libexpat.so.0" and all I've got is libexpat1-2.0.1-7mdv2009.0 which provides "libexpat.so.1". Is there any way to get wink working with 2009.0? By the way yes I have managed to record to swf format in xvidcap but it also makes a pretty big file even for a short video and there's no obvious way to add annotations like the wink ones have. Greg2
Try the old symlink trick ln -s /usr/lib/libexpat.so.1.5.2 /usr/lib/libexpat.so.
