boatman9
While using Firefox I noticed that youtube videos first download to ~/.mozilla/firefox/4e1crz72.default/Cache but as soon as download has completed the file disappears. Where does it go? Is it moved to some other directory?
orts
I have just tried to play an Youtube video, and then marks it in Firefpx Cache while playing. After it had stopped playing, the video stille was in the Cache directory. You have to be sure that you are on the same file in the cache, course it changes size while playing. I have copied the file from the cache, and renamed to to something.flv and Totem plays it without any trouble. I hope you understand my pour english spelling, but it's a late night for me ;-)
grendal
If you want to keep the video, you could try www.keepvid.com. this will give an option of low quality or high quality. The high quality version is in the mp4 format that will work on your ipod, if you want.
