RVDowning Posted April 29, 2009 Report Share Posted April 29, 2009 I've done lots of installs of Mandriva for several years, and they continue to use the same kde directories. I'm wondering if it would be of value to rename the hidden kde (or kde4) directories before doing the 2009.1 install, so that a fresh set of "virgin" files would be installed. ianw1974 Posted April 30, 2009 Report Share Posted April 30, 2009 Yeah, that's what I'm on about too :) These are the ones that should get upgraded when you update the packages. However, I just cleaned and set up my KDE/Gnome settings again rather than end up with something that might be affected somehow without me knowing about it for until later on in the future.
