I have installed MD9.0, during the install (from ISO FIle on HD) i got a series of messages about bad packages. I just continued, the system started without any problems and everything seem to work fine.

My problem is,if i DL from any FTP servers where shall i save the RPM's ? usrscrRPM or RPMS?? and must i manually install the RPM 's i wanted in the first time during installations??

Thank you

Download them into a directory in /home/whatever and use urpmi to install them. If you do one new program at a time, urpmi will give you any missing depends and you can install it all at once, after urpmi is satisfied. I always keep an install folder open for this use.

If you try to install something that is already there, urpmi will tell you.
