For example, # rpm -qa | grep kernel will list all installed packages whose names include the string "kernel". See man rpm for more details. viking777 Posted March 8, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 8, 2009 Thanks people. I was aware of the MCC and rpm routes, my question was specificaly related to urpmi/f/q. It looks as if that question has been answered and I think the answer is 'no'. That is why I can't find any information about it despite a lot of searching. I'd also like the comand "urpmq -i packagename" to tell me whether the package is installed or not. Should be a lot faster than the rpm -qa method.
