Disk >2 TB and Mandriva 2009

Hi Everyone,

Due to a Areca RAID-Controller I have a large disk of about 6.5 TB.

During installing Mandriva (2009 Free) only uses the old fdisk which cannot handle this.

I think I will have to use a program like parted with a partition table type of GPT.

I've tried to set it up via a boot CD and then install Mandriva, but Mandriva refuses

to recognize GPT partition tables ??

Is this correct ?

Any pointers to a decent HowTo or some pages to help me understand more of this issue ??

Thanks for your time.
