I'm running a Virtual PC 2007 machine under WinXP SP2 and I want to install Mandriva 2009 One KDE. I downloaded the BitTorrent and put the ISO in the Virtual Disk drive, and booted the Virtual Machine. It came up with the Mandriva logo and all that, said it was "booting linux kernel" and then it went blank and nothing happened. I rebooted again, pressing F3 and changing the graphics mode to Text. I got a whole bunch of wierd messages going too fast to read, and when it was over I captured the screen with VPC and got this:

I've done this several times all with the same result regardless of the kernel options I specify.

Can someone please help me?

Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition (32-bit x86); Windows Server 2003, Standard x64 Edition; Windows Vista Business; Windows Vista Business 64-bit edition; Windows Vista Enterprise; Windows Vista Enterprise 64-bit edition; Windows Vista Ultimate; Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition; Windows XP Professional Edition ; Windows XP Professional x64 Edition ; Windows XP Tablet PC Edition

So, they won't probably bother replying to some support request.

Why don't you simply use VirtualBox or VMWare server?

I'm downloading VirtualBox now, thanks for telling me about it. I hope it works on this one

Also I got windows 3.1, windows 1.0, MS-DOS 5.0, and MS-DOS 6.22 working successfully on a different instance of Virtual PC 2007

EDIT:

uh oh it says it could mess up XP... I clicked continue

EDIT:

Ok It seems to be working now, thanks :)
