theYinYeti
First, a hard drive will never be fd0 because that's a floppy drive device. You could try hd0/hd1 or sd0/sd1 for C: and D:. Yves.
Guest ben2needshelp
ok, so how do i know which one? and how about the filesystem thing?
theYinYeti
You can safely try and mount any device. Chances are it will work provided there is a filesystem on it. You usually don't need to tell which filesystem it is. Anyway, the easiest method may be for you to open Mandriva Control Center, Local disks section, and choose Manage your hard disk partitions. This excellent tool will give you the option to graphically mount partitions, and choose graphically the filesystem if needed. Yves.
