Ignoring packages for update [solved]

I've deselected a number of packages during an update simply because I don't need them. Stuff like nvidia drivers and language packs. However the update icon tells me that there are packages available for update, the ones that I deslected.

Any way to remove them completely from the update process?

Ta.

uninstall the packages? if you don't use them (especially the nvidia drivers), uninstalling them should be a sufficient solution (except where required by other installed packages, in which case - you do use them)

That was it!

Didn't realise the previous versions were already installed. Have removed them now.
