clock/calendar will not stay above all windows

I often have to open up the calendar on the panel, look at the calendar while writing dates in an OpenOffice document. Up till now (KDE 4.1), the calendar would remain open and above all other open windows, allowing me to write down certain dates. Now, every time I begin to write, the calendar disappears. Therefore, I have to continually open it so I can see other dates. Is there anyway to get it to remain above all the windows?

I assume it's a plasmoid, so you should be able to right click on it and in the options, set it to stay above all windows (aka "always on top").

There isn't that option. Yes, I have KDE 4.1 (therefore plasmoid). The calendar is on the panel at the bottom of the screen. The option you mentioned, which I use with other programs (OpenOffice, etc.), isn't on the calender when I open it up. It isn't in the "Settings" options either. I also put a widget for a calendar (I tried all of the calendar widgets) on the "desktop". The "stay on top" option wasn't on them either.
