fisher
Hello I'm using Mandriva 2009 KDE 4. Images, text files, pdf etc. get previewed in Dolphin and Konqueror, but not video files. Is there any way to make Dolphin and Konqueror preview video files ?
Kieth
From "Menu", go to "Tools", "System tools", "Configure your Desktop". Then click on "Advanced". You'll see an icon for "File associations". Try that and see if it works.
jkerr82508
This may help. It should be on the mirrors within the next couple of days. http://lists.mandriva.com/changelog/2008-10/msg01981.php Jim

Guest marbot
Hi guys This is how to get video thumbnails to work in dolphin (using Mandriva 2010). - in a terminal, switch to root su - - install mplayer urpmi mplayer - install mplayerthumbs urpmi mplayerthumbs next, you need to configure mplayerthumbs: - alt + F2 - enter "mplayerthumbsconfig" - in the General tabs, choose "MPlayer" as backend finally, configure Dolphin - Settings > Configure Dolphin > General > Preview tab > check "Video Files (MPlayerThumbs)" enjoy! :-) marbot
