RVDowning
I seem to have lost something. There used to be a "Find" menu item in the Tools menu in konqueror. (At least I think it was the Tools menu.) It is gone. I don't know what I did to lose it. It was useful. Anybody have a clue about how to get it back? This is on 2009.0, but running kde3 (or actually probably a mishmash of 3 & 4.) Edited October 29, 2008 by RVDowning
Greg2
I still have it on my 2009 with KDE 3.5.10 – Tools > Find File. Are you using the 'file management profile'? Try using Ctrl + F. If that works, add it to your toolbar – Settings > Configure toolbars > Find file.
RVDowning
Yep, Ctrl F worked, and so I was able to add it to a toolbar. Never could find out how to put it back where it was on the Tools menu, but that doesn't matter. Thanks much for the help. :)
Greg2
Never could find out how to put it back where it was on the Tools menu Open your /opt/kde3/share/apps/konqueror/konqueror.rc file with a text editor and check that this section: <Menu name="tools"><text>&Tools</text> <Action name="open_terminal"/> <Action name="findfile"/> has that line.
