ianw1974 Posted October 23, 2008 Report Share Posted October 23, 2008 Either that, or if gnome, then go into System --> Preferences --> Session and then you can stop stuff from popping up at startup. KDE could be doing the same, as it's not always necessary to start with an empty session.
