static
Speaking of the new 9.2 beta 2, has anyone tried it? What the general concensus on this one? Good stuff? Looks like 9.2 final will be really sweet...

Ixthusdan
Report: It's tomorrow!! The default kde with galaxy is really nice. Everything auto detected flawlessly this time. The video looks the best I have seen a Mandrake default. I'm going to convert to nvidia next. This is a nice beta. I do not need any sleep!! I have never seen kde work this fast. And konquerer is also faster. They have done something right!

static
I have never seen kde work this fast. And konquerer is also faster. They have done something right!I believe that was KDE's work, not mandrake's. This beta comes with the new 3.1.3, which I seem to remember reading that they've optimized a lot of code. Great! I was happy to read that!
tyme
yes, how was the install? did they fix the horrible bug with individual package selection (or did you not have that problem with beta1?)? I downloaded the CDs last night...I couldn't resist the urge. For those interested: http://www3.mandrakelinux.com/en/92beta.php3 two cool things I noticed: - First version of Netprofile, the new network profiles manager designed for users who connect to multiple networks. Feedback is highly requested for this newly introduced feature.- Complete rewrite of userdrake (user management) in Gtk2
jlc
I read some where that beta 2 is using Gnome-2.3.5, can anyone confirm that?
