In fact, after reading the "Portal News", I opened up OO to see what version I had, since I was sure it was 3.0, and yep, it came with 2009.0!

 

I think that Mandriva used the final RC. OpenOffice final RC's are usually identical to the official release.

I can confirm RC4 is the same as 3.0 final. I know it, as I am the official maintainer of the Greek OOo spelling in Archlinux, as well as the unofficial one for the Greek support (I make the PKGBUILDS, but as they move to Community whenever an OOo release becomes stable, they get owned by a major Arch maintainer...).

OOo3 is great- it's bigger than OOo2, but rather lighter on resources, and way richer in features!
