Guest batmike
I have been having trouble with Mandrake recognizing my sound card too. I just tried the sndconfig and it recognized the card, but it wants me to set things like I/O address and IRQ. Does anyone know how I would go about correctly setting these things? Ixthusdan
If it is a soundblaster, usually irq's 5,7,9, and 11 are allowable (use one not already being used in your sytem) and the i/o is dma 3, I think. You need to look at your card's manual to see where it likes to operate.
Guest batmike
I thought there was some command that showed all of the info on the pci slots, the irq, and the i/o. This may be the only way I can set it up because i have no manual to my soundcard.
