iphitus
once i encountered a tiny program that cleans up the non-standard stuff that is essential to microsoft's html standard. i forgot the name but its something like destupidify or something. sorry, i lack artistic skills and am no web-designer so i have not used those kind of utilities so i cant remember the name fully (tidy i have since i mucked with some xml stuff). ciao! I saw that app on Tucows.com I however though tidy would be better.
ramfree17
I saw that app on Tucows.com I however though tidy would be better. i admit that i have not used tidy to its full potential but am i mistaken when i assumed that all that tidy does is to check if the passed document conforms to the html/xml standard and not clean it up? that was my previous understanding.. ciao! [edit] just checked the tidy site and it does do some cleanup/mapping.

The frontend was embedded into Evrsoft's 1st Page 2000. Officially the best HTML/Web editor on Windows and unfortunately better than i've seen on linux. It was amazing!! Even a helluva lot better than the one now included in Dreamweaver, It's free too!! Unfortuantely not open source Get it at www.evrsoft.com I might try runnin it in Wine... It's worth it. Gowator
Well, imaya looks promising. I noticed a check box to move the images added as files so I guess that will prevent all the broken links. However also tried SCREEM quickly. I remember being impressed with the versin in 8.1 or was it 8.2 but it just kept hanging. The latest one looks pretty good. I have some complex image maps to produce as well.... GIMP ???? Thanks for suggestions so far...and may whoever added M$ tags to the word export have a miserable life....and end up being a sad person in a country song. da da dah da.
