Mr Pockets151
I tried to follow the how to forge article on installing VMware onto my Mandriva 2008.1 KDE. It didn't work. I got to the step where it tells me it might fail and couldn't get past it. How do I clean up the install and check to see I have all perquisites for the VMware install. {BBI}Nexus{BBI}
There should be an uninstall script. You don't need to remove what you have done. Just go to Mandriva Control Center (Configure your computer)-- > Install & Remove Software make sure the 2 drop down boxes to the left both say All. In the Find field type the name of the package you need to install and mark it for installation. If any of them have a blue icon against them, that package is already installed. Once you have marked them all click apply, then re-run your vmware install. Edited September 2, 2008 by {BBI}Nexus{BBI}

Mr Pockets151
actually, I tried this tutorialhttp://www.howtoforge.com/the-perfect-desk...8-spring-kde-p6. I'm going to try again, but I wasn't sure if anything I had done before was going to affect a new install.
