oRGy
Hi all couple of things are a bugging me! Using KDE 3.1.2 on a normal mdk 9.1 install 1) Maximised windows cover the taskbar. How do I fix this? 2) I don't like Virtual Desktops. Therefore I edited it down to 1 vd on the taskbar, but I want to remove it completely. How...? 3) Sub-pixel hinting. Whenever I turn it on in the kde prefs, it supposedly works (can't see much difference). But everytime I reboot or relogin to KDE... the option is cleared again. Why? 4) Any way to make Konqueror open new location tabs by default? Thanks! I have others too but I've forgotten them for now.
static
Sorry I don't really have any answers for you - I know in fluxbox there is an option "Maximize over slit" so I'm sure kde must have that option too somewhere. You don't like the desktops?? What do you do when you're on the internet, installing something with a terminal console, running a cd player app, and chatting on icq? All in the same desktop? How can you stand that?!! That would drive me crazy :) Anyway, it's not something you can really "uninstall" per se, but you can remove the desktop switching part of the toolbar I believe. Try rightclicking just above the dark squares where it's still grey from the taskbar and see if there's an option there...
Guest Chadd
1) Maximised windows cover the taskbar. How do I fix this? KDE control center>lookNfeel>style> "Allow other windows to cover the panel" edit: after style click center tab "hiding" 4) Any way to make Konqueror open new location tabs by default? Open Konqueror>settings>configure Konqueror>behavior "open new links in new tab instead of new window Not sure about the others
Guest Chadd
2) click empty space on taskbar>remove>applet>pager I think this will work.
