lynch
I can't seem to find an answer to how to get this working: I used to view the live traffic cams on the state website to plan my travel routes but can't seem to get this right on my 64bit system. I know you need to use the 32 bit version but it keeps saying that I either need to install jre or I dont have it installed. This works fine with my other 32bit systems but I want to have it on my 64 bit systems as well Any ideas are appreciated. lynch
Reiver_Fluffi
What browser are you using?
Greg2
You will need to install the java-1.7.0-icedtea-plugin from the repos for your 64 bit system, with (as root) urpmi java-1.7.0-icedtea-plugin this will also install its depends. Reiver_Fluffi
The O/P noted that he needs the 32-bit Java, IIRC what you have posted would give him the 64-bit plugin?
Greg2
The O/P noted that he needs the 32-bit Java In another thread I helped him get 64 bit flash working on firefox, so I just assumed he wanted to use 64 bit java with it. Now I'm not really sure what he wants to do? I'll wait tell he post again to find out. :)
ianw1974
64 bit java is usually OK, the only time 32 bit java is required, is when javaws is required - as this doesn't exist currently in 64 bit java. Another solution would be to install the 32 bit version of the browser as well - because even with a 64 bit browser installed, you'll not be able to use the 32 bit java stuff. So you'll not only need the 32 bit java, but you'll need the 32 bit browser as well. Firefox, or whatever it is.
lynch
Thanks, ( once again) Greg2, for your help. The icedtea-plugin did the trick. Reiver_Fluffi, I am using Firefox. Thanks. :) lynch
