Guest sonics
When using pendrivelinux it does reconize I have a 1680x1050 screen (a HP 6710b laptop). It also say it uses 1680x1050 resolution, but in fact it uses 1280x1024 because i see 2 fat black bars on the left and right of the screen. I uses VESA drivers (i don't know the intel graphics engine is supported or not Can this problem been solved by messing around in the xorg.conf? thanks
ianw1974
I have a HP 6710b laptop, and I've had no problems with the screen on Fedora 8, Gentoo and Ubuntu 8.04. You should have no problems getting this working - except you cannot use the VESA drivers. You need to search for a package, something like xf86-intel-video or something similar because this will be the driver you need to get the display working fine and without problems. Greg2
I don't have any experience with pendrivelinux. I only know it's based on MCNLive, and MCNLive is based on Mandriva. So I believe the package you need is x11-driver-video-intel. I've moved this for you since it isn't really a Mandriva related question. Welcome to the board! :)
