Guest kiran_vv
Hi guys, I am new to mandriva. I have a system with 250GB sata HD and Nvidia card on my mother board. I have XP already installed on my system. I have installed Mandriva 2008 one in another partition in the same HD. The installation went fine. The problem is Mandriva does not recognise my XP and its not in the bootloader menu. There are no parameters for windows in menu.lst. I have done a lot of searching and tried to edit menu.lst but in vain, nothing worked out. Can any help me with this. I want to use XP along with mandriva Edited April 29, 2008 by kiran_vv
ianw1974
First of all you need to know where Windows is probably /dev/sda1, so you want menu.lst to have the following: title = Windows XP rootnoverify (hd0,0) makeactive chainloader +1 and that should get you back to booting Windows as well as Linux. Guest Yogesh Kumar
First of all you need to know where Windows is probably /dev/sda1, so you want menu.lst (how to reach this comond) to have the following: ( and how to reach the code window) title = Windows XP rootnoverify (hd0,0) makeactive chainloader +1 and that should get you back to booting Windows as well as Linux.
