iphitus 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 I've got this problem again with 2009 :P aarnet, pacific, planetmirror, iinet, linux.org.au, internode, none of the mirrors I know of have ISOs yet. internode and pacific did have package repositories for 2009 though, and planet mirror seems to have ditched mandriva entirely. ianw1974 11 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 You're after 9.1 again? Or later versions? I dunno if anyone will have 9.1 anymore.
ianw1974 11 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 Would bittorrent help?
Reiver_Fluffi 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) Probably the same scenario as at the last release, if your local mirror isn't one of the "primary" mirrors, it's not guaranteed to have the ISO's at release. iphitus 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 oops, I edited my post, yes 9.1 was a typo, i meant 2009. I'll probably end up torrenting, but local mirrors are usually quicker than torrents. 0.5-1MB/s vs 50kb/s... anyway, I just thought it was funny, I was searching for mirrors and found a really old post of mine... ianw1974 11 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 On the Mandriva page, there's a list of the ones that have currently got it I suppose, but the list isn't too big. I think China looked like your closest mirror.

I think China looked like your closest mirror. Nah, that'd be slow too, if not terrible. *shrug* got the torrent going now, plodding along at 27kb/s. I just thought it'd be fun to revive an old thread, and terribly coincidental that I stumble across it while trying to find mirrors... again.
ianw1974 11 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 It really would have been cool though if you were trying to get Mandrake 9.1 again ;)
scarecrow 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 Easyurpmi should normally help to find a working mirror for 9.1 (since Contactel seems being off for a long time), but (IMHO) the new easyurpmi scriptable, "newbie-friendly" layout is total pants. It should return to the old, functional layout ASAP.
iphitus 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 It really would have been cool though if you were trying to get Mandrake 9.1 again ;) I still have the CD's :) scarecrow: lol, look at the original thread date, I don't need 9.1.
