aze
At the first times I run AA everything worked fine. But today it is crashing everytime I try to play: no sound: it says the device is busy but I run xmms with no problem. Then I close xmms and go to AA but.... open /dev/[sound/]dsp: Device or resource busy Backtrace: [ 1] ./Core.so [0x4086f34a] [ 2] /lib/i686/libpthread.so.0 [0x40c485ce] [ 3] /lib/i686/libc.so.6 [0x40a2d3b8] [ 4] ./Engine.so(UpdateParticles__12UMeshEmitterf+0x29) [0x402581d9] [ 5] ./Engine.so(Tick__8AEmitterf10ELevelTick+0x524) [0x40287674] [ 6] ./Engine.so(Tick__6ULevel10ELevelTickf+0x294) [0x40252b28] [ 7] ./Engine.so(Tick__11UGameEnginef+0x2a4) [0x40211968] [ 8] ./armyops-bin(wvsnprintf__FPwiPCwPv+0x7aa) [0x804ce0e] [ 9] ./armyops-bin(main+0x25d7) [0x8050947] [10] /lib/i686/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xc7) [0x40a1a7f7] [11] ./armyops-bin(GetFullName__C7UObjectPw+0x5d) [0x804c6e1] Signal: SIGSEGV [segmentation fault] Aborting. tyme
hmm...did you resolve this problem yet? if not...i'd fix that issue first :) if you did, please post what you did to fix the problem in that thread so that people with similar problems will have ideas on how to fix it. aze
actually both the issues are the same one. I think what is happening is that the game is crashing because the sound server is "aparently" busy. How could I solve the sound server problem? thanks any help! tyme
actually both the issues are the same one. then why exactly did you start another thread if it's the same issue?
DOlson
It's quite obvious that no one here knows how to fix your problem, so perhaps you should join the mailing list as soon as possible. In the meantime, you could email icculus (who ported the game) and ask him. If the mailing list is public now, I would recommend you join that though.
