MottS
MottS: i download the source .tar.gz from the sourceforge page for mldonkey, configure, make, make install and ran mlgui and it worked fine. even appears to (atleast attempt) connect to kazaa servers. I'm gonna try it too.. the statically compiled version isn't working nicely on my system. Seems to work better on yours (full compile). Thx !! emh
I think for the media player in Kazaa to work, you have to have Windows Media Player installed. I've never tried it, so I can't say for certain.
Guest Ducttape19
I am pretty sure that EMH is right. Kazaa wether it is Lite or the Regular uses Windows Media Player to play it's files. This would explain why it won't work under Linux. I think that is how it works anyways. Just let the files download and then play them with something else and it will work fine. mystified
That's what I do and it works. I also use mplayer to show the media files. Thanks again to Motts for the info!
