Guest Chadd
Installed Alt last week. All seems well (so far) except for the sound. A music cd will 'play' (show song info , time etc) but no sound. I have been through all the basic stuff I know to look into: control center had kde enabled, Alt control center has sound enabled on boot, aumix has volume up....not sure what else to look into. I tried to 'tweak' the system but,.....it turned into a 'TWEAK' and I had to reinstall Alt again. I read another thread that had stuff on looking into cat /proc/modules, cat /proc/pci and other things like that. I just do not know what the hell all the stuff means. Sound worked in Mdk 9.0, other stuff didnt.....thats another story.. Any help is appreciated......can post more info if someone has time to help. Thanks Chad
Cannonfodder
Not a sound expert but you might want to post your hardware sound board brand and which driver you are using..
