igotnoluck
Hi, today i removed the beagle program from my system and then my KDE won't start or apear in the graphic managers. i'm only left with the genome desktop which i'm new too and want my KDE back :) thanks, noluck
jkerr82508
What else was uninstalled when you "removed" beagle? It's always wise to check the list. Install task-kde. It may well put beagle back, but you can turn beagle off without un-installing it. That's usually the safer option with unwanted applications. SilverSurfer60
Uninstalling beagle shouldn't make any difference to kde, it's one of the first things to go on my system after a new install. The only thing it uninstalls is kerry.
viking777
Absolutely right SS60. Not only that but Beagle is a Gnome program anyway so it is hard to understand why it would trash KDE? Anyway the advice given by jkerr should fix the problem.

jkerr82508
In its configuration dialogue, under Indexing, un-check Start indexing automatically. Jim
