edwardp Posted March 9, 2008 Report Share Posted March 9, 2008 (edited) The user of the AMD Athlon system in my sig (not me) has chosen to use their own icons on the desktop. When one of them is right-clicked, it changes to a generic folder icon, either a large or small one. Is this normal behavior for the desktop (Gnome)? If not, why are the icons changing? The icons are stored in their own folder in the user's home directory and the desktop items preferences were set to use those particular icons. The icons used were first created using Windows Paint (as ICO files), then when copied over to Linux, they were converted to PNG files.
