freeboy
I have a problem with accessing Pendrive usb (removable drive). I get the error message: Permission Denied. Please tell me what should I do to fix this problem. In the morning I could get access to it but after shutting down the computer I am getting this error. This pendrive works ok in windows XP - I use dual system Mandriva and Windows. Another problem that my friend faces is that he cannot copy to the FAT32 hard drives in the Storage Media of Mandriva interface. The error he gets is Cannot write to the disk Here is the screenshot of the error he is getting: http://www.mediafire.com/?2bmjambyctd or http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?qui...ctd&thumb=4 He can copy/paste only in the Mandriva Linux partition. Both me and my friend are new converts to Mandriva and would appreciate help with these problems. Thanks in advance All the best freeboy
joste
For your first problem you could try this: I am assuming you can't mount or it is mounted as root - this will all you to mount it as a user and thus solve both issues (hopefully). With the pendrive inserted - Open the Mandriva control centre. Click on 'Local Disks' - then 'Manage local disks' then 'continue' Then on the tab for that drive - probably sde Click 'toggle to expert mode' and then on the 'option' button that will appear and click the checkbox for 'user' Then click 'ok' then 'done' then 'yes' Hope this helps.
