Artificial Intelligence
Read all about it at Phoronix.com. Includes Gnome's own flash player (open source flash). scarecrow
Unless I'm missing something, the greatest trend in 2.22 is the replacement of the crippo gnome-vfs with the all new virtual filesystem, gvfs. The above article mentions a lot of pretty insignificant things- but not this one, however.
theYinYeti
Yet I don't understand why KDE and Gnome can't have a common use of some OS-level VFS, such as FUSE... Yves.
iphitus
Epiphany with webkit is pretty awesome too. If they've completed their python support, then I'm going to have a lot of fun churning out some great extensions.
scarecrow
A vfs based on FUSE for ***alll*** known desktops would be awesome, for sure (already using smbnetfs and sshfs exclusively)... but for some reason, this isn't a solution of choice for both Gnome and KDE. The KDE vfs is mighty powerful, but I can't say the same for the old gnome-vfs... factly, this is the main reason I prefer KDE to Gnome (although my desktop of choice is XFCE4 with fuse acting as vfs agent).
