2008 End Session Issue

Been using 07 Spring for a while now and love it. The other day I thought I would format my system and give the new 08 a whirl. Everything seems alright except when I try to log off. When I click on "End current session" it looks like it starts to log off then my monitor goes black and clicks into power saving mode (I guess), you know what I mean, when the green monitor power light turns yellow. Then it just sits there indefinitly.

I have tried pressing every button on the keyboard, clicking the mouse, nothing happens. The only thing I can do it hit the reset button on the pc.

Any ideas?

Even alt+ctrl+backspace ?

There used to be such a bug some time ago with KDM. I've encountered it in Mandriva, PCLinuxOS and, for a couple of days under Archlinux as well.

I'm currently using Cooker at a Virtual Machine, but I cannot know, as I'm using XFCE4 as desktop environment and slim as login manager... both are working fine.
