neddie
Sounds like it's looking for your kernel sources - have you got the appropriate sources installed? Do "uname -a" to find your kernel, and do "rpm -qa | grep kernel" to see which rpms you have.
AleXxiO
i already have the kernel sources installed i haven't the kernel-source-stripped but it seem not to exist in the kernel i have (the default laptop kernel released with mdv2008.0) so what am i supposed to do? scoonma
Sorry, if insisting inadequately, but which sources package did you install? The rpm kernel-laptop-devel-2.6.22.9-1mdv should be suitable. You may also check wich location the symbolic link /usr/src/linux points to.
