Zac Medley
I have Mandriva 2007.1 installed and, as far as I can tell, it installed properly. I'm using it right now to post this. My problem is that the CD burning software can't tell that a blank disk is in the drive. I have been through the system configuration tabs and everything looks right. Any ideas on what I need to do next? 67GTA
Are you sure your cd drive supports the media your using (CD-R,CD-RW)? What brand/model drive do you have? What app are you using?

What app are you using? Good question. I need to go to bed but tomorrow I'll start switching stuff around and testing it with a newer unit that I have, and see if the problem is that I'm trying to get away with using hardware that ought to be in a landfill rather than in my PC. Thanks EDIT: It was old hardware. With a newer burner unit it worked perfectly. Thanks. Edited October 31, 2007 by Zac Medley
