ilia_kr
In gnome, i use shift+alt to switch keyboard layouts. This option doesn't work in KDE (both on Mandriva 2007.1 and PCLos) even though i've enabled it: How can i make it work? Thanks. scarecrow
I never use the KDE/Gnome keyboard applets... they are always unloaded. I prefer switching keyboard layouts via the x-server configuration. Section "InputDevice" # generated from default Identifier "Keyboard0" Driver "kbd" Option "XkbRules" "xorg" Option "XkbModel" "pc105" Option "XkbLayout" "us,el" Option "XkbOptions" "grp:alt_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll" Option "XkbVariant" ",extended" EndSection Works fine for me, independently of the DE I'm using. For my virtual machines I use the same approach, but there I use ctrl+shift to toggle.
neddie
I use Ctrl-Alt-K in KDE to toggle keyboards, I think that was just the KDE default. I understand you want the same for Gnome & KDE, but it might be worth trying Ctrl-Alt-K just to see if it works.

See, i use to chat with my friends on 2 different languages simultaneously, so it could be really annoying to switch using 3 keys. I'll try though what scarecrow suggested. For some reason, it didn't work. Oh, and if i use Ctrl-Alt-K - it works only one way, because after i switch, "k" is no more "k" ...
