Hi,

I am not able to shutdown my laptop using Logout-->Turn off Computer. If I do so, the screen becomes blank and then lots of colors appears. But it does not turn of the laptop. I have forcefully turn it off.

I can shutdown using halt or init 0 or shutdown -h now.

Can anybody help me out in this.

What you can also try is this. Instead of logging out, press the power button which will initiate a power down anyhow. Does that work any better?

Just suggesting this to debug the problem and find out if something else will work.

I have no problem with shutting down(using halt command or shutdown -h now command).

It was fine, but few days back I reconfigured my hibernate option. Since then I am getting these issue.
