dexter11
What to do? Use Windows for exe files. Wine is not guaranteed to execute every Windows program and I think it never will be.

dexter11
Well if it's for Linux (I assume you're sure about it) then don't use wine. What's the error message if you try to launch the file from a terminal? Edit: To one of the admins: How can I delete my post? spinynorman
dexter11 - I've deleted the first post. You can delete the whole text and mark it 'deleted' if it isn't obvious which post should be deleted. A mod or admin will act when they see it. :)
SoulSe
Shake is a Mac only application. I'm not sure how you would get it to run in Linux. Probably not possible since it relies on OS X' cocoa environment. But what puzzles me is that you have exe files. .exe is the Windows executable file format. You can run them using WINE (and some luck) - but Shake shouldn't have them.

See: http://www.apple.com/shake/ But what puzzles me is that you have exe files. .exe is the Windows executable file format. scoonma
If it is actually a linux binary, the .exe suffix should pose no problem. It may contain a self-extracting script (okay, not exactly that, but you know what I mean). @cjnine: You should be able to launch the exe in a terminal, i.e. by typing: "./shake.exe" ./ denominates the current directory and is mandatory if you want to execute a program from the folder you're in at the moment. SoulSe
I was wrong - there is a Windows version available. CJNINE - I think you probably have the Windows version. You will need the Linux version. And the only way to get it legally is to pay $4999.

Look at the page I linked, scroll down, on the right side there's a box called "Buy shake". It maybe just a very expensive software.
