I am referring to this article.

Why is it that last year, Linux requiring a user account to log into was a problem for Linux and over reacting to security, but now it is a security measure in Vista? Why is it good security for a Windows version but a problem for users in Linux??????

BONEHEADS!!!!!!!

Why did I thought that autologin in Linux is fairly easy, even without a login manager (KDM, GDM, XDM, whatever...), and even without the need of a special tty? I even had the impression I was using it since ages in a couple of remote machines, at least...

Where did I go wrong? I may have to ask the zdnet "experts" of my a#%e... :P

By the way, why these "experts" now think that autologin is dangerous on a single user environment? I always had the (obviously wrong) impression that autologin when there's only one user poses no security threat at all to the system...
