scarecrow
I'm sorry, but I won't sign. If many games are ported to Linux, there's a chance that the OS will become popular- and this will bring (together with games support, which I do not care about...) various exploits, worms, viruses, and all assorted goodies. So - no, thanks. Linux is good enough for me the way it is now. You'd rather petition Cedega adding more games to their arsenal, or VMWare offering full DirectX 9.X-10.X support- but a native port of current games to Linux is a bad thing, as far as I'm concerned... tyme
If many games are ported to Linux, there's a chance that the OS will become popular- and this will bring (together with games support, which I do not care about...) various exploits, worms, viruses, and all assorted goodies. Are you serious? That's not even...that makes no sense at all, man. Popularity isn't what causes worms, viruses, etc. - bad security and coding do. So really, all you're saying here, is that you think the Linux OS is badly coded and insecure. And that has nothing to do with gaming. BTW - most gamers who want to use Linux, already are using Linux, they just dual boot. Basically, whatever logic you used in that statement is totally flawed.
