First, let me say that I have been using Ubuntu regularly for a couple of years.

UbuMMC installed and booted on my Gateway mx8530 17" widescreen notebook where few other distros would.

Being a self-admitted "distro-hopper", I have tried dozens of installs including K/X/Ubuntu, Slackware, PCOS, Suse etc....

I am SO THANKFUL to have found MCN.

It installs and boots flawlessly, mounts ntfs, excellent HW recognition...the list goes on and on.

I just have one problem.

I have changed "desktop/menu styles?" and

HOW DO I GET THE INITIAL DEFAULT DESKTOP?TASKBAR CONFIG????????!!!

Sorry, I'm frustrated.

Many thanks in advance.

I am now using KDE 3.5 free and Mandriva menu style apparently.

Hi mezzmerized,

I am not sure what you changed, the menu style or the taskbar?

Menu style: MCC (Mandriva Control Center, run command: mcc) -> system -> menu style config -> Mandriva menu

The taskbar is a KDE setting, right click on the panel ... or: run command: kcontrol -> desktop -> panels

I hope this helps.
